Hi, I’m Jared. I’m an award-winning journalist reporting at the nexus of money, power, and politics. I’m interested in documenting the true power players in communities and institutions of all sizes.
I served as the 140th editor-in-chief of The Daily Pennsylvanian and am currently an intern at WHYY News in Philadelphia. I previously interned at POLITICO, CNBC, Yahoo Finance, and The Philadelphia Inquirer where I honed skills in breaking news, business reporting, data-driven journalism, and enterprise storytelling. My work has been profiled in Vanity Fair, Bloomberg, POLITICO Magazine, and Penn Today.
I plan to graduate from the University of Pennsylvania in May with a double major in political science and communication, and a minor in data science and analytics.
I am the first Penn student ever awarded an Overseas Press Club Foundation scholarship. At Penn, I won the Nora Magid Mentorship Prize, the university’s highest honor for emerging journalists.
