March 26, 2015 – Straight Talk Ethics Debate

The last six months have seen intense debate over ethics in digital journalism, in part following a column in The Washington Post that examined a complaint about a journalist alleged to have manipulated biotech stocks. The New York Financial Writers Association will host a lively debate featuring a panel of well-known editors who will discuss what's acceptable -and what's not- in digital journalism.

The evening will feature the following panelists, who will debate the changing practices and standards of journalism from print to online, as well as ethics issues for social media platforms:

Adam Feuerstein – Senior Columnist, TheStreet.com

Clark Hoyt - Editor at Large, Bloomberg

Neal Lipschutz - Editor, ethics and standards, The Wall Street Journal and Dow Jones

Steven Pearlstein, Columnist, The Washington Post

Adam Penenberg – Professor, Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute, New York University
